In april 2015 I went to Tokyo, Japan to interview to five Executive Creative Directors, each representing different Japanese Agencies. The articles were published on in five consecutive days as part of their 'Abroad Dossier' series. I spoke to Yukio Nakayama creative advisor of Dentsu, Takahiro Hosoda of TBWA\Hakuhodo, Ricardo Adolfo CD of Ogily Tokyo, Marc Wesseling founder of UltraSuperNew, and entrepreneur Luis Mendo. The interviews gave interesting insights as to how Japanese agencies manage to be so innovative, and illustrate how different they work compared to agencies in Europe. It was a privilege to meet and have discussions with all these creative people.
